I've seen a few posts that seem to bend the rules a bit, but they don't appear to be harmful, offensive, or use abusive language. Is it acceptable to let some things slide if they aren't hurting anyone?
It's understandable to want to be flexible, especially when posts are not causing harm or using inappropriate language. However, consistently applying community guidelines is important for maintaining fairness and trust. Allowing exceptions, even minor ones, can sometimes lead to confusion or create the perception of favoritism. It's best to address any bending of the rules in a friendly manner, or to clarify the guidelines if they seem too strict or unclear. This approach helps everyone feel welcome and ensures the community remains healthy and respectful.
